Filming with drones inside structures can provide very spectacular, dynamic camera movements provided enough open space is available. Using a drone is often faster and lower in cost compared to rigging a jib or crane. A very skilled and experienced pilot is required to operate safely however in a GPS denied environment to avoid collisions. The airflow created by the drones propellers must be taken into consideration. Also most drone insurance companies don’t cover accidents that occur while indoor filming with drones. Each structure presents it’s own unique set of challenges for the drones compass and IMU.
